We are finally making headway on the restaurant front. Every day I hear about another restaurant offering a gluten free menu, including local, privately-owned restaurants and regional/national chains. Local, gluten-free restaurants make you feel good knowing you and your family have a go-to place any night of the week. National chains provide that extra comfort when on the road and in unchartered territory.
Here’s a list of regional/national restaurants offering gluten-free menus (courtesy of Living Without magazine). Visit their individual websites for additional information. Please remember, though, that while it’s great these restaurants have gluten-free options, it doesn’t necessarily mean their staff has undergone comprehensive training or that cross contamination won’t occur. Keep your guard up and employ the same practices you always do when eating out…ask lots of questions and keep your eyes and ears open for red flags.
